SOLD OUT - IBC Business Expo – Illawarra On Show
The Illawarra Business Chamber will be hosting our Business Expo --- Illawarra On Show --- for the second year to be held on Wednesday, 30th May at the WIN Entertainment Centre, today announcing that this year’s Expo has sold out.
IBC has to date received an overwhelming response from the local business community both in terms of sponsors and exhibitors to the Business Expo, according to IBC CEO Mr Mark Grimson.
“We are delighted with the response from local businesses to this year’s event, particularly in light an increased number of booths totalling 72 at this year’s event, following on from the success of our inaugural Expo last year, he said.
“The theme --- Illawarra On Show --- reflects the IBC’s objective, which is to champion the growth and cause of business in the Illawarra. This event will again showcase a wide variety of the region’s businesses from across the Illawarra.
Mr Grimson said another highlight of the Expo will again be a series of keynote speakers during the afternoon on a range of topics focusing on the various challenges faced by local business on a day-to-day basis.
These free seminars will include::
• New IR Environment – How it will Impact your Business;
• 10 Easy Ways to Save on Your Energy Bill;
• Technology – the Way Forward
Mr Grimson emphasised that while each of these sessions were free of charge, local business people wanting to attend were urged to register online at: www.illawarrabusiness.com to secure a spot at the seminars.
This year program has also been expanded to include Tony Pearson, Deputy Chief Economist, ANZ Bank as our guest speaker for an Executive Lunch to be held on the day.
Tony will be speak on the "Global Economic Outlook" and what the future holds particularly given the recent sub prime crisis in the USA and the global credit issues arising from that. He will also make mention of the budget which was recently delivered, the first for the Rudd government.
The Business Expo – Illawarra on Show will be followed from 5.30pm by IBC’s Super Business After Hours networking event, which is expected to be attended by at least 400 IBC members and invited guests.
