Illawarra Business Chamber
Invigorating

Have you checked the health of your business recently?

Businesses, like people, need to have regular health checks. Failing to monitor the progress of your business can often prove detrimental to performance, productivity, and sustainability.

To help businesses improve their operations, the Illawarra Business Chamber, in conjunction with the Department of State and Regional Development, is inviting Illawarra businesses to a free one hour information seminar at the Portofino Function Centre in Wollongong on Tuesday 17 July from 8.30am.

The seminar will introduce the Illawarra Business Vitality™ Program, an innovative and cost effective way to:
• Check the health of your business and benchmark it against other businesses, and
• Boost your business performance through a customised improvement program.

The program, developed by NSW Business Chamber, is relevant to many small to medium size businesses, many of which struggle to achieve the next level of growth and performance in their business.

“There’s a lot of talk about raising productivity levels within industry”, said CEO of Illawarra Business Chamber Mark Grimson.

“While governments can influence productivity and provide the policy framework to drive economic growth, it is the business owner, who is responsible for creating jobs and wealth within a community.

“Raising productivity levels requires business owners to take a critical look at their strategy and planning, sales and marketing, finance, and overall operations.

“We have had a number of businesses increase their productivity and hence, their revenues, by undertaking a customised improvement program through the Business Vitality™ Program.

“They have achieved this by increasing their marketing and training spend. They have also managed to improve their cash flow with the implementation of a dedicated sales function.

“Many of these businesses are now expanding their markets through exporting opportunities.

Mr Grimson is encouraging Illawarra businesses to attend the session to not only reinvigorate their own businesses but also save up to 85% off the cost of participation.

“All of the businesses that have participated in this program have benefited through increased revenue. The more successful our individual businesses become, the stronger our local economy.”

Business owners can register by calling the Illawarra Business Chamber on (02) 4229 4722 or registering via the Events section of this website.
