2007 Integral Energy Illawarra Business Awards

Illawarra businesses were today urged to start thinking about their Entry to the 2007 Integral Energy Illawarra Business Awards.

�The Illawarra Business Chamber�s CEO, Mark Grimson, reminded businesses that they now have less than 6 weeks to complete their entry with entries closing on Monday, 10th September.

�We are pleased to announce that we have been fortunate to once again secure Professor Gerard Sutton, Vice Chancellor, University of Wollongong as Chair of the Judges� Committee and Warwick Shanks, Partner, KPMG has agreed to once again oversee the Judging process.� said Mr Grimson.

At this year�s event, outstanding enterprises in the region will again vie for a total of 18 awards.� The winners of each Industry Category will also have the chance to take out the prestigious Integral Energy Illawarra Business of the Year Award at the Gala Awards Dinner to be held at the WIN Sports & Entertainment Centres in Wollongong on Friday, 16th November.
�
�This year there will also be the ability for an individual or business to nominate another business, it may be a client or a supplier, but we will be encouraging people to nominate a local business that demonstrates excellence in what they do,� he said.�

These nominations will need to be received by the IBC no later than 24th August to provide all the nominated companies sufficient time to complete the entry process.

All organizations operating a business in the Illawarra Region as defined by the five local government areas of Kiama, Shellharbour, Shoalhaven, Wingecarribee and Wollongong will be eligible to enter.� These Awards are open to both members and non-members of the IBC.

�The IBC also pays special tribute to the ongoing commitment from the many sponsors for their continued support of the Awards in helping IBC make these Awards the largest in regional Australia,� said Mr Grimson.
