2 Weeks to go to Enter this Year's Business Awards

Businesses across the Illawarra were today reminded they have less than two weeks left to get their entries in for this year�s Integral Energy Illawarra Business Awards.

Illawarra Business Chamber Chief Executive Officer, Mark Grimson said he was hopeful that a record number of businesses would enter this year�s Awards from across the five Local Government areas.

Mr Grimson said �We are particularly keen to encourage more entries from the outlying areas of the region including the Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands given the diversity of their respective local economies.�

�Interest in this year�s Business Awards has been excellent so far, with around one hundred people in attendance at July�s launch.�

At this year�s event, outstanding enterprises from the 5 local government areas will vie for a total of 19 awards, this includes newly introduced categories:� Sustainability, Workplace Safety & OHS, Retail & Personal Services, Community Benefit and Property & Finance.

Winners of the industry categories also having a chance to take out the prestigious Integral Energy Illawarra Business of the Year Award.��

Mr Grimson said; entering is easy, with judging consisting of a written entry and submission, supported by a formal interview process & in some instances, on-site inspections.

Entries close at 5:00pm on Monday, 1st September, and winners will be announced at the Gala Awards ceremony on Friday, 7th November at the WIN Sports and Entertainment Centres.
