Illawarra Pollies lining up to lend a hand

A record number of politicians are lining up to lend a hand to small business as part of the Illawarra Business Chamber and NSW Business Chamber's annual Pollies for Small Business program.

From Monday 27th July to Saturday 1st August 2009, small businesses throughout the State will host local MPs to give them first hand experience of what it's like to run a small business.

From the Premier, to the State Opposition Leader, senior frontbenchers, the Sydney Lord Mayor and state and federal MPs from across the state, more than 150 pollies are preparing to roll up their sleeves and get a taste of life on the frontline.

Local Illawarra MPs Noreen Hay, Shelly Hancock, Greg Pearce, Joanna Gash, John Ajaka, Barry O'Farrell,Lylea McMahon, Lee Rhiannon and Paul McLeay will be showing up on business doorsteps and put to work that week.
